Essence at the Pantiles, by Atul Kochhar

A pan-Indian restaurant by chef Atul Kochhar, the design for Essence at the Pantiles takes inspiration from the grand architecture of India: from the historic palaces of Rajasthan to the later structures by Edwin Lutyens.

Taking colours, patterns and textures from this inspiration, and working within the confines of the existing Grade II listed Georgian buildings of The Pantiles, two cultures have been combined, creating an atmosphere that is modern yet evokes a lived-in feel of faded heritage and glamour.
