St Paul, Islington

An independent, neighbourhood cafe bar in Islington, North London, serving brunch and pastries throughout the day, with wine and small plates in the evening.

A start-up on a shoestring; a simple palette of natural materials was used, with a practical approach to functionality. Chunky timber table tops marry with original butcher-shop tiles and found items such as vintage chapel chairs, giving a friendly and relaxed feel. Low-cost and effective branding finish the design, and add authenticity to the customer experience.
